The Body
Featuring Lightmare
APRIL 2, 2022
On April 2, 2022 CodAko Entertainment Flying V presented The Body: Resurrections, a live music and performance art showcase!
The Body featured an original poetic monologue recited by Shady Rose, woven through the live musical story of DC soulpunk band Lightmare’s recently released sophomore album DIRT. It featured local artists offering burlesque, drag, and avant garde performance art to live music in a riotous and energetic celebration of externalizing the inner journey, making visible the invisible, of SEEING and being SEEN in the naked newness of truth. Welcome the freshly arrived spring with The Body: Resurrections.
The Bodies that Made the Body:
Featuring performances by: King Ricky Rosé, Mr. Ma’am, Ganja Kitty, and Renatchét
