We didn’t have enough to buy a new axle, but thankfully our Wagon Leader Cliff Clavin is a carpenter (we chose smart) and was able to effect a temporary repair. Our Pioneers are still on the road… for now. Another day, another chance to choose how to cross a river. We could ford it, but that risks loss of life. Shall we hire a guide ($200) or take the ferry ($300)? Or swallow our fear and go it alone? You decide!
