Orange Grove Dance and Flying V leap into 2024 with an immersive happening that can only be experienced once. 1/1000: One space. One thousand possibilities.
Join us for a one night only improv jam that merges dance, music, and technology to create an unforgettable event made in real time. In this grand collaborative experiment, the audience is the ultimate engine for the evening’s experience. Journey through the Silver Spring Blackbox as you’ve never seen it before: a space where anything can happen. Unearch a side quest, discover a new landscape, partner with a stranger! Scratch the surface of what’s possible when you surrender yourself to the imagination.

About Orange Grove Dance
Orange Grove Dance (OGD) is an award-winning multimedia dance company that creates visually athletic experiences through the lenses of dance, film, and design. Under the direction of Artistic Directors Colette Krogol and Matt Reeves, Orange Grove Dance is recognized for its powerful imagery and choreography, which engages audiences in a world that is relevant, mysterious, and absorbing.
Krogol and Reeves are choreographers, performers, filmmakers, and mixed media designers.
They are the recipients of the 2020 Helen Hayes Award for “Outstanding Choreography in a Play” for their work in Round House Theatre’s production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Their acclaimed works and commissions have been produced and presented worldwide in museums, concert stages, film festivals, underground tunnels, city streets, black box theaters, public parks, botanic gardens, and high-end hotels. Orange Grove Dance’s recent honors and awards include The Carla Fund for Choreography and Performance – established by the Howard and Geraldine Polinger Family Foundation, the Maryland State Arts Council’s Independent Artist Award, the New Hampshire Theatre Alliance Award for Best Youth Production, and the 34th Annual Choreographer’s Showcase Audience Award. OGD was the 2019 United States Botanic Garden Dance Commission as well as the 2019 Site/See Waterfront Park AIR. Recent commissions/collaborations include InSeries Opera Company, Delune at National Sawdust, Round House Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Sarasota Contemporary Dance, Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts, Sweet Briar College, Dance Place, The Jackie Chan Film and Television Academy, and Extreme Lengths Productions.
