It’s official.  Flying V is now YOUR Outstanding Emerging Theatre!

It was an amazing night, starting with Flying V Company Member MAGGIE ERWIN winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Play-HELEN Production for her work in Failure: A Love Story with The Hub Theatre, followed by Company Member DOUG WILDER winning The Robert Prosky Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play-HELEN Production for his work in One Man, Two Guvnors with 1st Stage, then FLYING V officially accepting the The John Aniello Award for Outstanding Emerging Theatre Company, and then ending the night with Company member EDWARD DANIELS rocking the after party as DJ.

WOW

Now it’s time to get back to work.

Let’s make 2015 our biggest and best year yet. Be Awesome with Flying V!

Your donations add up in a very big way, and they help ensure we can continue delivering awesome theatre to tantalize your eyes and ears. Chip in now and become awesome with Flying V!

This June we will bring you a brand new, all original, ensemble based, devised theatrical mix-tape of Staged Violence and Sonic Power. From the colorful skin-tight super heroes of the sky to the monsters under the bed; from real life saviors of the day to the abusive parent at home and terror around the corner, HEROES AND MONSTERS dives head first into those we admire and fear – and why.

And as part of the Women’s Voices Festival, Flying V will bring you a WORLD PREMIERE tale of two young women, both named Jane. One is an awkward middle-schooler with burgeoning body odor, a crush on a jerk who likes her sister, and an epic aptitude at The Oregon Trail. The other is actually in the game, living through the hardships of trail life with her family, totally unaware of her capricious fate as a character in a classic video game. But this game has an agenda of its own, maneuvering both of the Janes on a painful path towards self-recognition. Looking at the impact of memory and the legacy of sadness across generations, THE OREGON TRAIL asks the age old question – do you want to ford the river?

So check out our levels of support, get inspired, and make your donation online to Become Awesome.

Plus, your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law — which is a fancy way of saying we’re a 501(c)(3).  Which is a fancy way of saying hey, ‘we ain’t in this for the money. We’re in this to make your life better, but we can only do it with your help.’

Prefer to kick it old school? That works. Mail a check made out to Flying V at 7979 Old Georgetown Rd, 10th Floor, Bethesda, MD 20814.

Be. Awesome.
